Baccarat game rules

In Baccarat, the card values are as follows: Aces are worth 1 point, picture cards are worth 0 points and the rest are worth their face values. For any total over 10, only the last digit counts, thus the value of the hand is from 0 to 9. The player can place the bet on a Banker’s box or a Player’s box and on a Tie box at the same time or as a separate bet. The dealer will deal two cards to the Player and the Banker, alternating between the two hands. In case one of the two hands totals 8 or 9 points with the first two cards, the result is called Full Hand and no more cards are added to either hand. In the case of no Full Hand, the Third Card Table rules are applied to drawing more cards. First, a card is drawn for the Player’s hand and then for the Banker’s hand. A third card is drawn for the Player’s hand when the Player’s two cards total 0 to 5 and it is not drawn if they total 6 to 7 points.

A third card is drawn for the Banker’s hand when the Banker’s two cards total 0 to 2 and
is not drawn if they total 7 points. In case the Player’s two cards total 3 to 6 points, the third card is drawn according to the Third Card Table.

Third Card Table:
An extra card is drawn for the Banker’s hand when Banker’s two initial cards total:

  • 3 (except in case the Player’s third card is 8)
  • 4 and the Player’s third card is 2 to 7
  • 5 and the Player’s third card is 4 to 7
  • 6 and the Player’s third card is 6 to 7
  • In case the Player’s two initial cards total 6 or 7, a third card is drawn for the Banker’s hand totalling 3, 4 or 5, but no third card is drawn for the Banker’s hand totalling 6.

Winning bet on the Player is paid 1:1. Winning bet on the Banker is paid 19:20 (equalling 95% of the bet amount). Winning bet on Tie is paid 8:1 and in that case, the bets on the Banker and the Player are retained.
